Put it in Neutral

From castings, to jobs, and everything off duty my closet has become almost entirely black. BUT, 2016 is my year of branching out! For spring I’m LOVING neutrals! Beiges, light pinks, nudes, and whites create a clean, feminine, comfy and put together look.

Picture
These white Gap jeans are quickly becoming my favorite! They are my first pair of white jeans and I wore them throughout summer and even in winter. They are a great base to any spring outfit!
Picture
These blush Charlotte Russe heels are seriously the most comfortable single sole heels I own. (So comfy I even bought them in cobalt blue too!) I wore them for a Christmas party and I lasted the entire night without having to take a “sit” break lol

Mid-Week Madeleines!

Homemade Madeleines (and maybe some champagne) to help get you through the week!

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 12
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup (2 oz./60 g) cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup (2 oz./60 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. orange flower water
  • 4 Tbs. (1/2 stick) (2 oz./60 g) unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more for greasing
Directions: Position a rack in the lower third of the oven and preheat to 400°F (200°C). Generously butter a 12-mold madeleine pan.

In a bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder. In another bowl, using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat together the egg, granulated sugar and orange flower water for 30 seconds. Increase the speed to high and beat until the mixture has quadrupled in bulk and is very thick, about 10 minutes. Using a rubber spatula, carefully fold the flour mixture and then the softened butter into the egg mixture. Spoon the batter into the prepared molds, filling each one about three-fourths full.

Bake until the madeleines are lightly browned around the edges and on the bottom, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove the madeleines from the oven and immediately turn them out onto a wire rack. Using a fine-mesh sieve or a sifter, dust them with confectioners’ sugar.
Serve warm. Makes 12 madeleines.

Enjoy!

Studio Jams

Hey Guys! I’m here to answer the age-old question,” What do you want to listen to in the studio?" In a room of four or five people it can be tough to settle on one genre, let alone song! Some people like classic rock. Others like electronic or Top 40. Answering that question can be pretty tricky when you’re trying to play songs that please the entire studio. Sooooo, I’ve created a playlist of 30 songs to help ease you into the start of a long day and end you on a good beat (pun intended)!
Enjoy!

Pink, Pink, and more Pink!

One conversation topic always brought up is about the color of nail polish that us models wear for work. Almost every job I do with another model I always end up saying,” Oh I love your nail color! What brand is that? Is it bubble bath, ballet slipper, or baby pink?” Of course this isn’t what we always talk about, but it definitely comes up! So here are a couple of my favorite natural nail colors for work! Enjoy!
