I'm back again with the DIY organic face mask series! I partnered with Maris Magazine to bring you another amazing face mask! This time, better and more moisturizing! I absolutely adore face masks because they are an easy (once a week) fix to help keep problem areas in check. and believe me, I've got enough problem areas to keep this series going strong lol! This edition's mask features two main ingredients - the cooling power of cucumbers, which really helps to make the mask a relaxing and beneficial experience, and yogurt, which utilizes the natural power of lactic acid to exfoliate your skin, making it smooth and moisturized. Yogurt is also a great, natural acne remedy. Who knew there were so many great uses for yogurt?! Now let's get started... Tips to Know -Peel the cucumber -Blend the cucumber until you get a paste-like consistency -Add some yummy plain yogurt -Spread all over your gorgeous face -Add some cucumbers to your eyes for dramatic effect -Rinse off with warm water and bask in your beauty! Finally, top off your relaxing day with a delicious cucumber salad, made with your leftover ingredients and take a stroll outside to show off your beautiful skin! Enjoy! Have any DIY ideas? Tell me below! Love, Char I'm a huge lover of rain and overcast days, so this time of the year is my absolute favorite! When it's pouring you can either find me cuddled on the couch with tea, looking out the window mesmerized, or outside jumping in olympic sized puddles! For these spring storms I'm loving bright colors to help off-set the gloomy skies! As I've told almost anyone that will listen, fuchsia is my new color for 2016! I love how this fuchsia sweater compliments the dark navy and spring white! If you love the rain as much as I do, then you're probably already calf deep in a puddle! We all know that rain boots + puddles= reverting back to our 6 year old selves, so why fight it?! Honestly what's the point of owning rain boots if you're not going to jump in a couple puddles, lol! My go-to rain boots are these navy slim Hunter boots! I have calves the size of a small child so I always have a hard time finding boots that are slim enough, but these are my golden ticket! AND they zip up the side for easy access! What more can a girl ask for?! Photos by Zachariah Epperson
So grab a fun umbrella, a pair of rain boots, and go outside to make the most of El Niño! You never know, you might just fall in love with this rainy season! Enjoy! Love, Char Who doesn't love face masks?! After a long week, girls night in, or trashy tv and a glass (bottle) of wine, face masks are the best way to unwind both physically and mentally. They may look scary but they are truly scary great for your skin! Pass on the expensive store bought masks and step into the kitchen to mix some yummy ingredients! I teamed up with Maris of Maris Magazine to bring you some amazing face masks! Avocado, yogurt, and honey are a great combination to help to soothe, smooth, and hydrate the skin! Tips to know! -Mash really well (I had chunks falling off at first) -Wear clothes you can get dirty (Literal chunks of avocado all over me lol) -Let sit for 20 minutes -Rinse with warm water Celebrate your gorgeous, glowing skin with leftover mask mix and some chips! (No joke, it was like sweet guacamole!!) Have any DIY ideas? Tell me below! Love, Char A couple photos from a great shoot I did with John Thatcher, styled by Toshiko of It's Not Her, It's Me.
Its always fun working with hilarious and sweet personalities and thats exactly what I got working with these two! It felt like we had worked together multiple times before. If you get the chance, definitely jump over to their sites to check out their current work! Enjoy! Love, Char A new makeup hack I was just introduced to at work is the glorious use of hairspray! You might think,” Hairspray?! But that’s not used for makeup!” Well now it is! We all know hairspray keeps our beautiful curls and updos in place, but what you didn’t know is that it can do the same for your makeup! Once your makeup is completely done, grab your hairspray, hold your breath, and do one continuous spray all over your face. Now you’re set to dance the night away! I like to use Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray (Smells ammmaaazing!) Good luck, party girl! Have any hacks? Tell me below! I might just use it for my next Model Hack and give you a shout out! Enjoy!
